These lenses were made out of a material called Samifilcon A, the structure of which helps maintain adequate eye hydration throughout the day. In the manufacturing process of the Ultra lenses, the Bausch + Lomb company utilized the breakthrough MoistureSeal technology, thanks to which the lens contain four times more PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone – which increases its hydration) than the leading contact lenses available on the market. On top of that, they have a low shear modulus, which means that you won’t even feel discomfort when wearing them.
